There are three technologies on the horizon that will change the way people use the web: LaszloSystems' OpenLaszlo, Microsoft's WinFX (codename Avalon) and Adobe's Flex 2."
TECH TALK: Father to Son: Another Birthday
Dear Abhishek, The past year has been an amazing one for you – and for India. Even as the stock market has risen about 70% during this period, India is now perhaps entering a golden phase – one not seen for many centuries. There’s tremendous worldwide interest in India – as a market, as a source of innovation, as a provider of human capital, and more. The India you will grow up in will be very different from the one I grew up in. Your India will be a world power – respected and admired. It is something that I could not have imagined a decade or so ago. But that’s how the world turns. It is still an India that is poor – and one that will remain so at least for the first few decades of your life. We will need many years of rapid growth to make up for all those past errors. But India has to its advantage a democratic foundation, a young population, and a vast reserve of entrepreneurial talent. There’s a lot to be done, and hopefully, in your prime, you will be able to make a positive difference in your own way. It is an exciting time to be living here. There’s so much change. Infrastructure is being built around – roads, improving airports, even the railways are now profitable and talking customer service! There’s a lot of investment coming into India. In the 1990s, one used to read about all the things that were happening in China. Hopefully, the next ten years will see people being surprised with India’s progress and development. It is an India that is confident now. Yes, we still worry about our politicians, but we are not obsessed with them now. We are hungry for growth. We want the best – fast. The other day, we were at one of the malls in Mumbai and your mom remarked that pretty much every international brand now had a presence there. I guess she’s now only waiting for Wal-Mart to arrive! India’s biggest challenges will be in the areas of education (200 million people need to learn to read), healthcare (making it affordable for all), energy (so we don’t increase the costs of our own development – and don’t pollute the planet). Rural development is critical to India’s future – and while there are investments happening in rural India, not all of it gets to what it’s intended for. And more often than not, the thinking itself about the decisions made is flawed. Why am I telling you all this? You are still just a year old. You know something? There are times when I think you are as old as the New India that we are seeing! Your spirit and exuberance reminds me so much of our country. As you both grow up, I hope that same positive energy stays – and infects the world around. Happy Birthday, Abhi. Here’s wishing you – and India – another great year.

HAP - HAP- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR ABHISHEK Aunty Ron Posted by ronita torcatoMy best wishes to Abhishek too. I really hope that whatever development we are seeing is for our own good. I sometimes worry about the ever increasing gap between the rich and the poor, right from affordability of education to buying a decent house. As I also grow up, I feel worse about our politicians. I somehow seem to have no hope of upliftment of actual needy in our country. The rising sensex and increasing profit of Reliance and Infosys will only help little in our country. I dont know if industrialization is the answer to our country's problems. Posted by PraveshMany many happy returns of the day to Abhishek.. Posted by MahendraHappy Birthday, Abhishek. Rajesh, Great writing..truly inspiring. I check your blog among the 1st things in the morning..and your blog and a cup of coffee is the best combination to get the day started right! My best wishes to Abhishek.. Regards, Happy birthday Abhishek. Congratulation Dad and Mom!!! Nice to read about the correlation between New India and next generation. By current trends, it would be a flat world by their time, lots of running ahead. Good luck. Love. carisoprodol | cheap hydrocodone Posted by lindaPlease could ronita torcato contact us @ type3three@hotmail.com. We are doing a documentary on Indian happy birthday songs and we noticed you used a section of the happy birthday song we are particularly focusing on. Regards Belinda Posted by Belinda AsheHi Rajesh, The following is for the people who read your blog (since you are excelling in being a good father - deduced from your writings).... 1. For every child, his or her father is a hero - so please ensure that you do not smoke or booze in front of them lest you can find them doing the same in the later stages. 2. For every child, his or her mother is the best friend. The gentle-men will be able to see the kids buzzing something in their mom's ear and move out and the ladies coming in as the courier. 3. For impatient people - please try to spend max time with your kids, you will learn patience while doing it since you will have no way of getting angry with them...they are after all kids. what do they know? you will need to teach them. 4. Kids are always curious and inquisitive - please put up with them. Please be ready since they can pop questions at you and you will have to give them convincing and logically correct answers lest which, you will not be spared till you give them one. 5. If you say fire is hot, they do not listen and still want to touch it, please let them do it. Cos the more you restrict them, the more they will do it (of course, it hurts our feelings to see them suffer and burns our pocket as well but no way out) since the kids now-a-days are practical and they wish to experiment with each and every thing they come across, come what may. This is proven from the interest they show in Mathematics and Science and if not in those subjects - then it is either music and arts or computers and technology (later stages of education) etc. 6. Please keep yourself updated since the kids now a days are very advanced in everything they do. 7. Finally - A request from myside - please do not quarell with the children present or beat them or yell at them since it will break the confidence within them and once broken for a child, it is very difficult to bring them out of it cos a child can forgive but never forget. If any reader feels bad about me advising you folks, I apologise for that but since kids are involved, it is just a part of my learning from child psycology. Rajesh: How is Abhishek doing? Thanks and regards, |
I have gone thru their business models. It's interesting. When online business comm. sites like Linkedin gets into breakeven, i certainly believe Visible path can create a ripple effect.

I was associated in developing Spoke. Spoke is already successful having clients like SalesForce.com and others.
