We could centralize lecture delivery with the exciting ICT available. And have only tracking-people and social skill teachers locally. We see scenes more beautifully on a movie screen than with naked eye. A good primary school math teacher went on to head IBM's database division. They are rare. Some teachers have unique knowledge depth and delivery skill. Also this competitive educational system results in professional competition and control of markets and technology. It would be better to nurture creativity over scores. Posted by BalaRecorded lectures and re-playable material gives a chance to work repititively on difficult subjects. Students can make better decisions on their pursuit area by knowing their abilities deeply. What would be needed is a health care specific marketplace. When as we have fixed medical resources there utilisation is far from optimal. A ebay like medical marketplace may not be a bad idea.
