Memetrackers
Pete Cashmore reviews possible alternatives to Memeorandum. Here is what Pete writes about it: "If you’re into tech or US politics, Memeorandum is unbeatable. It delivers the top news from the blogosphere and mainstream news sources with the added benefit of threaded discussions. Its only weakness is a lack of breadth - it would be nice to explore topics beyond tech and politics, or to drill down into more specifics." Also: Don Dodge interviews Memeorandum creator Gabe Rivera.

TECH TALK: India Internet and Mobile: Issues and Numbers
The US-based VC firm, Kleiner Perkins, along with Ram Shriram, had organised a panel discussion recently amongst 15-odd entrepreneurs in the Indian Internet and mobile space to discuss three issues: Because of the limited time, each person got an average of five minutes or so to get their points across. I figured that the questions were interesting enough to merit a longer and deeper discussion. This Tech Talk series will provide my views to the three issues. More broadly, it will focus on the challenges and opportunities in the Indian Internet and mobile space. Let us begin by putting together some numbers. I have put these together from a variety of sources and some extrapolation. (I have also put the financial figures in dollars – that seems to have become the lingua franca for money-related discussion in India! For easy conversion: $1 = Rs 45; $1 million = Rs 4.5 crore) India Per Capita Income: $600 [Population: 1 billion] PCs: 18 million; growing at 5 million/year Mobiles: 75 million; growing at 4.5 million/month; 77% pre-paid; 75% GSM; 25% CDMA This lays out the background for our discussion on the three issues. Tomorrow: Internet Challenges

This figures relate to India. How big is the share of Bombay alone? And what is left for ("rural") India if the 10 biggest towns are taken away? Posted by Daniel Grossglauser Well, the trends enter through megacities, penetrate deep inside the society, and then the society members carry the trend to second tier cities, and then to villages and so on. Rajesh, Your numbers are intereresting, but not useful: 1. Where do you get the number of internet users figure? There are several branded estimates on the user universe ranging from 11 million (IRS R2- 80 million Ajit Balakrishnan)! Trust the debate will factor these in. Anon Posted by gautam kumarFigures are quite debatable... We are having a 256 kbps broadband with unlimited BW and it costs 1000 Rs per month. do you think this is fesible for non IT people to spend 1000Rs for Internet connection alone? is it a good Deal ? Definitly we were paying Rs 5000 two years back for the same thing, but still a long way to go. if its Rs 200 then it is good for more % of indian population. Posted by ErikaMy friend Susan was a lady with a tender and soft heart. She had a troubled childhood and due to her past experiences she used to suffer from anxiety disorder. Being doctor, I decided to help her in her anxiety attacks, I asked her to buy xanax. This is the most useful drug for treating panic and anxiety disorder, so order xanax or alprazolam. The information for medication is available online; you can type xanax online on the Google bar and search. I asked her to buy xanax online so that she could avail the best deal and get cheap xanax. Thereafter, she has come back to her normal loving self; she is now a mother of one baby boy and a happy wife! Susan is thinking of starting a boutique. Thanks to xanax!!
Posted by xanaxIf a comparison is done among the three erectile dysfunction drugs cialis, Viagra and Levitra it would become apparent that the medication Cialis has certain advantages that far outsmart the beneficial effects of both Viagra and Levitra. Before administering cheap cialis to your system you don’t have to be choosy about food as Cialis can be taken both with an empty and a full stomach. Secondly, Cialis effects remain in the body for a full 36 hours which is a much longer duration in comparison to the respective periods for which Viagra and Levitra show off effects in the body. Buy cialis online as by purchasing Cialis through Cialis online you would be able to get hold of the medicine at a comparatively cheaper rate. Get ready to buy cialis from an authentic online source and save yourself from falling prey to erectile dysfunction.
